This was taken last year at Sennen whilst out in a friends fishing boat. There were so many mackeral around and the water was oily glass. The Mackeral were in a real frenzy and we tried to take advantage by casting around the chaos and snag a bit of lunch for the BBQ. This frenzied activitie is known as rashing.

'Pete the Yank'
Happy Birthday to Pete the Yank. 74 Years old today and out surfing with the boys. Pete has been a regular to Sennen for almost 40 years. Originally from the states he moved over and lives in Oxford. Full of life and an inspiration if ever there was one. former rodeo rider, show jumper, still does horse whispering, chauffering big wigs to the races and still arrives on every good swell. When the yanks in town you know there's waves!! Happy Birthday from Russ, Jill and Jago.

Rope Tackle
There used to be a place where the boats launched called 'Rope Tackle' up near Brighton. Sadly the place has been developed into waterside properties that no one can afford, it blocks the sunlight from the historical high street, the view up onto the South Downs and the Chapel of Lancing College and best of all the council has chosen the prime spot for their offices, gotta love the Gov!!! This shot just brought back some memories and made me want to rant!!

'Wheels of Fire 2008'

Winner of this years 'Wheels of Fire ' Skate comp at the Penzance bowl was local ripper Luke waterhouse. Luke has that casual free flowing style and then just launches out of the vert wall. Classic day, great entry from all the young skaters in and around Penwith and Kerrier districts. Great help from all the sponsors, especially SJ's Skate shop in Truro who came and MC'd, Chapel Idne Surf Shop in Sennen and many others including Etnies. The guys at SJ's gave prices and generally kept the event running smoothly. Congrats to Penzance Fire Fighter Ollie Clark who organised the entire event as a community relationship programme. This is his second event and their getting better. Also, well done to Ford Clarke who came second in the the Under 14's.

Been away for a few days visiting Friends and relatives, Missed the swell whilst away but recharged the baterries. Now were back and keen to get loose in the juice like this young whipper snapper, Buster Nichols. This young man is a classic, I seem to have know him since he was a wee grommet, he's twenty one now and each year goes of on his travels, Oz, Morrocco, France and then back again. Buster redirecting at Praa sands.
