Bon Voyage
Sam Bleakley is off to Japan this week to work in a reporting capacity for Oxbow, his sponsor, during the World Longboard event. He's also just got back from his second trip to Haiti where they scored some great never before surfed waves. Sam has a passion for going off the beaten track and always has some great tales to tell, backed up by some great shots from John Callahan.

'Masters' UK Stylemaster
This past weekend saw the 2009 UK Stylemaster take place in Devon, not great conditions but the 'super fantastic man of the atlantic' Rich Emerson took advantage of riding his old Scott Dillon, ploughing through the walls of white water at Saunton sands and brought home the Masters title. The event is based around 1960's equipment and open reigning champ James Parry came in third unfortunaley losing his title, the open win went to Elliot Dudley.Myself and Rich are about to embark on a story and photo feature with the focus on Rich. He is a remarkable character battling with Combat Stress after serving in 'Desert Storm', thats was the first Gulf War for you young ones. Rich is using surfing to overcome the problems that arise and help others through theirs. This win is a massive boost for Rich and well deserved. Stoked for you big man.

Rosie Lee
I'm not sure where the term Rosie Lee in the cockney rhyme and slang actually came from, but on a recent photography job for my friends Heather and Nigel at 'Dishotea' I came across this wonderful rose tea. Their new shop can be found in Chapel Street, Penzance where they sell a wide range of teas and coffees. Each time I opened a jar to shoot the beans or leaves the different aromas were breathtaking.

Surf Art by Steve PP
If anyone ever gets up to, over to pr down to Woolocoombe in North Devon, they can't miss the Red Barn Pub, full of classic boards lining the roof. Just behind the Red Barn you can't miss the old wagon which is known as the Waikiki Tavern and beach side studio of local artist Steve PP. Steve's paintings are created using driftwood, canvas and other materials. He represents the classic beach lifestyle artist in a small coastal town and when he's not creating, he's surfing. Check Steve's website www.ppsurfart.comI do believe he recently got married so congratulations Steve.

Any one out their who feels my blog would be a worthy place to display such works then please forward work to my email. Happy Blogging. To begin the proceedings here's something my lovely wife did earlier in the story of Brightbox. email: russ96uk@yahoo.com
