Tom Wegener in da house.

For some reason some days just feel a little out of the ordinary. We came home today from a Christening and met Tom Wegener who came by with UK filmaker Christiaan Bailey who has bought my van. I will be sad to see the van go but was honoured to meet the great man, star of 'Siestas and Olas' and offer him my last cold beer which he gladly accepted, he truly is a great chap. Tom is over in the UK doing some shaping sessions and getting a few waves with his apprentice Matt. This is James Parry surfing one of Tom's Alaias and getting better every session.

Pazza says 'Stripes are in this season'.

Managed to get myself and Jago in the backpack down the hill and get some shots of James Parry sporting his new Snugg suit. James recently returned from Spain where he won the Vans expression session at this years Vans Longboard Festival at Salinas.

I wish......

Happy Birthday to me, its late, i'm watching a Jet Li film, I'm 40 years old in the morning and I hope I wake up to my family and this wave peeling across the bay. They say life begins at 40 sliding this would be a great start.

Combat Surfer Part 2

Robbie Macintosh has come up absolute trumps again. Robbie was asked at very short notice for a design that would be fitting for the Operation Amped UK surf camp and this is it. Featuring both male and female service personnel this highlights the needs of both sexes now fighting or serving around the world. Thanks Robbie.

Combat Surfers

My good friend Rich Emerson has been very busy of late. Not only has he recently won the Masters division of the UK Stylemasters riding a classic fifties Scott Dillon, he's also been getting ready for his first surf camp 'Operation Amped UK' aimed at helping serving or ex-service personal in the British Military suffering from Post Traumatic Stress. You can find out more about Rich on his new blog by following the link to 'Combat Surfers'. Robbie Macintosh has come up trumps and has produced a great image for the t-shirts and when this is finalised I'll post it here. Check the blog and look out for the article I'm currently putting together focussing on Rich and his own battle against PTSD, i'll keep you posted. photo:unknown
