'Winter survivor or early springer'

On my recent rip to see my folks I managed to find myself out at dawn with my sleepless son, Jago. A week of winter sun and clear skies had led to series of beautiful February frosts that allowed me to see water in another form. Five hours drive away it was offshore with crisp swell lines, in Sussex it was still, not a wave on sight but all the same pretty amazing.
