After my trip back to my old town of Brighton this past weekend for the Paddle Round the Pier Festival I'm sorry to say I have a new found dislike (hate is a strong word and should be reserved for special things!!) for SUP's, not so much the people as some are friends. I heard many people, including friends, say that the Stand Up Paddle Board is great in Brighton for when its small.
Sorry chaps I surfed a perfect glassy knee high wave at the old West Pier on Friday morning, had a sneaky little noseride or two, a drop knee and trimmed on my trusty Slide 65 'Sunday Driver' model. NO NEED FOR SUP's I'm afraid, just a 9'8" and a little bit of effort, not a carbon paddle and a fricken stand on canadian canoe!
