Ron Stoners shot of Bill Andrews in 1965 at Blacks Beach San Diego was his first cover for Surfer magazine. This is an amazing image and one that makes me want to bust out my triple stringer and go trim a few. Such an amazing photographer, there are some great snappers out there at the moment with the likes of Dane Peterson, and JJ Wessels producing some outstanding images that keep amateurs like me fueled and frothin' for some sunny warm days.
