Surf Racks, bikes and Deus

The bike at the top is the new purchase. To afford this luxury,(but also necessity to get to work cheaper) boards were sold from the quiver and my lovely wife Jill made some serious amounts of bunting for the queens jubilee. Its a mighty Suzuki Van Van 125cc and so much fun. It will become more fun for the local area of West Penwith when the board mounts are fitted allowing all a access surfing to some great spots here. The shots below are from Deus Bali who transform and restyle some unbelievable bikes. Take an old cb200 or a 1970's honda c70 and transform into into a sky blue thing of beauty with a surfboard rack on the side and you probably have the most reliable surf vehicle ever. Check the bikes out on the website or visit the Deus 'temple of enthusiasm' here. This place looks like a dreamland of all things creative; bikes, boards, fixies, art, photography, music, skating. It looks amazing and I know Joh `Eldridge passed through there not long ago, picked up a lovely new single fin by Ellis Erickson and surfed his casual brains out. You can take a video tour around the temple or just dream of the bikes they convert into works of art. Not sure if the Mighty Van Van will be subjected to such alterations but its certainly been fun so far and about to get funner.

Nice bikes but stinks of lifestyle bullshit have a read of their bumf on the web site Here's a snippet "Deus makes motorcycles. Stripped down and rebuilt. Customized for your life and revved up for everything else. Deus makes four gears and loose throttles. Wind in your hair and thunder in your guts. Full speed towards the volcano. And that’s just the beginning. Deus makes surfboards. Deus makes coffee. Deus makes music. Deus makes things happen." as I said reads like a Harley advert to buy into a lifestyle make me piss myself to see the latest hipsters paying to be cool. Shit I'm getting old arnt I great post on Joel btw

Slidelines, its all about fun, don't be too harsh mate. I just bought a van van cos it looked cooler than a sr125!! I think we all buy into a bit of bull shit now and again. To me Deus is just impressive, they are turning outs some great boards and what looks like a business that provides a lot of what people are looking for right now, something different.
