Matuse Wetsuits and Joe Davies

Joe davies is an amazing Longboarder, he's very funny and if anyone is looking for a sports commentator, Joe is hysterical. He rides a longboard with such style and grace that he is a favourite of many including myself and the favourite surf coach of my son jago!!
Matuse Wetsuits have put Joe on their team and I'm so stoked for him. I'm also stoked because they have used some of my shots (not this portrait though, which is classic) for his team page on their global website. Super stoked so please check them out here

Kookbox, Matuse and Little Joe davies

Classic style from a classic young chap. Currently at the Noosa for the Festival and the Joel Tudor Duct Tape invitational Joe should turn some heads with sick rides like this. Look out for Joe and pazza, fresh from California, with new logs and new stoke I can imagine. Apologies for not crediting the photographer, if I knew I would, this is an amazing shot. Anyone know?

Anyway for those of you over in OZ, Keep an eye out for this character, Joe Davies, funny bloke and amazing logger. Hip Wiggling Little Joe

Hip Wiggling 2012 Champ Joe Davies is such a stylish surfer. So much so he got an invite to the Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational in Biarritz. Making it to the semis I'm sure Joe showed a few of the boys a thing or two.

Little Joe

One of my favourite surfers to watch is Jersey's Joe Davies, a traditionalist through and through with a classic drop knee cutback and super stylish noserider. Check out his shop here

Jersey Royals

Joe Davies surfs so well. He's been over for the past two comps for the British Longboard Union, ridden a single fin and turned some heads. Joe is super smooth and super funny. If you read this Joe, all the best to the family mate.

Joe Davis is really good.

Trawling through some old shots and came across this. I took this a couple of years back. The surfer is Joe Davis and he is so stylish, lives on the island of Jersey and is one of the funniest blokes I have ever met.

Drift online

Hi all I'm up in Brighton at the moment catching up with folks but would love it if you could all follow the link to Drift and check my article called 'Killing the Cool?' in the 'On the Road' section. I'm super stoked and will be putting some more stufftogether soon. This an oldie but a goodie of Joe Davies dropping the back knee and stylin'

Tip Time.

Enough of the pigeons, although there is another truck full of pidgeons ready to rock and roll across the road from our house. Back to the fun of surfing, this is the ever so stylish Joe Davies on the nose and cruising.

Knee bender

I do love a good drop knee turn. The masters say its a functional move that buries the tail, shortens the rail and makes you wail! Whoo-hooo! Drop those knees brothers. Joe Davies groovin'

Jersey Man

Joe Davies, absolute style in his heats. If it were possible to transport the present day surfers back to perform against or even surf alongside those legends of the sixties I reckon it would be an interesting scenario. Surfers such as Dora, Phil edwards, Nat Young, keith Paull, Peter Drouyn, David Nuuwiha and Lance Carson who played such a huge roll in the development of individual styles and whose approaches to surfing have forever influenced surfers since their day. I wonder how they would match up.

Our Host and chief MC

Whilst in Jersey the Davies family took us under their very generous wings and looked after so many of us it was unbelievable. Military precision got us out of bed, fed and to the beach each morning. Entertainment for the trip was provided in the form of Joe Davies who took to the Mic to MC the competition. Any organisers of any event out there, look no further, Joe is the man. Alongside him was James parry keeping the festivities going with a smooth mix of tunes and between them amused the crowd for three days with topical banter generally aimed at Elliot Dudley and his fitness regime. On top of having the 'gift of the gab' Joe also has an afinity with the nose of his singlefin, he can Hang Ten with so much finess he has made the Jersey lefts his own domain. Joe Davies, St Oens, Jersey, July 2008.
