James again!

Trawling through some old shots and still not been in the water too much with the housing due to time and my own surfing getting in the way. Surfer first, snapper second. Its great looking at all the amazing shots coming through the blogs these days and am committed this year to do more, I've got so much to learn. Its hard sometimes to give up my own surfing time to concentrate on shooting but when having a four year old means that windows of opportunity are so valuable and precious.

Above the waves

Shot these of james Parry last week when the waves were a little crappy but working in front of the beach cafe. James was really the only surfer getting anything, here riding his Slide 65 widowmaker set up. After the comp this weekend, James the Master Hip Wiggler is off to Malibu next week so keep you eyes peeled for him in the Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational.

Slide 65

More from Mr Parry, hung over and hangin' ..literally.

Slide 65 surfboards and James Parry

James Parry picked up a new log today from Slide65. Its great to see James riding the good ol' singlefin. After a heavy night on the town he still managed to make it all look to easy but nearly collapsed on the way back up the hill from the beach.

Slide 65 Surfboards by Rob Wright

Slide 65 surfboards shaped by Rob Wright have again produced an absolute beauty. The design is based around clean lines and perfect trim. I can't wait to get on this gem. A 9'6" single fin pintail that is designed for smooth turning and perfect trim in larger waves but will be equally at home sliding across any clean peeler. Anyone interested in one of Rob's shapes can find the details at www.slide65.com or follow the link on this blog.

Behold Rob Wright Surfboards

Rob Wright is a master craftsman, a shaper of fine wooden beachfront dwellings that can be found above the beach at Gwithian Towans across the bay from St Ives, Cornwall. Rob Wright has also been plotting. He has done his research, put in many years of traditional log riding, he has travelled to the epicentres of longboarding to study the art form, he has planned, designed, developed and now shaped his way into the traditional longboard business. Behold 'Slide 65' surfboards by Rob Wright. Absolutlely beautiful.
